How to set up your line.

First Baseball Game

I am going to start out by telling you when our first game is.  This might get a few more people to come out and cheer us on.  The support of the community means a great deal to us.  Our first game is tomorrow, May 22.  It has been a very anticipated day to all of us baseball players.  What makes it great, is that we get to play a team that we don't like that much.  That team is the Harlan Cyclones.  We probably like Kuemper more than we like Harlan.  They are just one of those teams that we have never gotten along with.  We are the opposite of PB&J.

The Harlan Cyclones' strength is just that, their strength.  If they get a hold of a fastball, it will go a ways.  This is why we are going to need to pitch some of our better pitchers tomorrow.  We definately can't leave any fastballs going straight across the plate.  Steven has a very good curve-ball so I anticipate that he will be pitching tomorrow.  The coaches are going to have to know the other teams' batters so we know what to pitch to them.

We also have strengths of our own.  If someone does get a hold of a ball and it goes a long ways into the outfield, we have the speed to get to those balls.  Kevin Durkoff is the senior leader of the outfield.  He shows great leadership during practice and helps out the younger kids a lot.  Anthony Beyerink is in center field.  He is the fastest person on the team and that is the reason that he is there.  He can get to virtually any ball.  Nate O'Brien is in left field.  He to has a lot of speed.  We are going to need these key players tomorrow in the field.

In our batting order, we have some pretty powerful seniors.  These seniors include Chance, Steven, Will and Hayden.  When these guys get the bat on the ball, it can go very far.  These seniors will hopefully lead us to a victory with their bats.  We can't forget about the fielding though.  That is a very important part also.  A win to start off the season would be a great start.

I thought that this puppy was just so cute.  The blue thing around its neck also made the color pop out of the picture.

Track

Track is going very well so far. The Carroll High team is doing pretty good. We have won one meet, I think. We have come close to winning every meet so far. We just can't seem to get every one. Our last meet was canceled due to weather.

The first week of track was absolutely tiring. It is like that in every sport though. It was just terrible. One of the practices, we had to run eight 400 meter dashes. It was bad. But, it helped us a lot and we will continue to get better.

Why is Twitter the best social media?

There are many reasons that Twitter is the best social media. One is that the celebreties that you can follow, are verified so you know that it is them. I also like it that it is mostly young people besides the celebreties. I do know some parents that have Twitter but if they do they don't use it often.

Twitter is also very easy to use. It is very simple. There is retweet buttons that make it easy to repost something. It also does the citation for you and it is no hassle at all. I think that Twitter will last much longer then Facebook and Myspace.

Basketball Tourney

I had a great weekend. I got to play basketball all weekend in the Carroll Chamber of Commerce Basketball Tournament. We ended up playing four games and lost in the last one which put us out of the tournament. It was a sad loss because it was the last time that we are going to play together for a while. I have to give a shout out to Coach Cleveland and Coach Wellendorf for a great job of coaching. In our last game it came down to the wire. We played Urbandale and lost. It was a good time.

Technology I Couldn't Live Without

The technology that I couldn't live without is probably the internet. Technology these days is building around the internet. For example, the iPod is building around the internet by making them to stream the internet faster and make them stream the internet on the run. The next iPod that they come out with is going to have the ability to have 3G, which is a type of internet that you don't have to have wi-fi for. Of course, you would have to pay for the 3G network because how do you think the internet makes its money? The internet was finished in 1969 by a lot of people. Since then, people have used the internet to make money. Google is one of the companies that has used the internet as a money maker. Other companies like Safari, Firefox, and Explorer have made the internet their own in a way. These companies are almost like sub-titles of the internet. People that use the internet can choose between all of these choices. Without the internet I don't know how I would live. I use the internet a lot. And I use it every day in school to get answers. This class helps me learn about the internet and how it is modernizing.

New App

I think that a very cool app to invent would be an app that let you play video games that you play on your console. You could download the games that you have on your console. For example, I would like to play Modern Warfare 3 on the road. It would be very cool. You could also connect to the internet so that you could play with friends. I have a lot of fun playing xbox360 at home. I think that it would be really cool if I could now play it mobily. This app is $15.00.

New Semester

TheMasonWhite has a couple things to say about the new semester. TheMasonWhite had a tough time last semester and is glad it is over. American History was very stressful. TheMasonWhite also believed that the semester tests were over rated. When TheMasonWhite was taking the Spanish Semester Test it was probably the most over-rated test during the Freshman year. TheMasonWhite received an A- even though TheMasonWhite didn't even study that much. American History was probably my hardest test and TheMasonWhite received a B. The new semester brings new ideas and classes for TheMasonWhite.
